Bible Study - Acts 13

S – Scripture
And when he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, of whom he testified and said, "I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart, who will do all my will."
Acts 13:22 (ESV)

O – Observation
David is described as "a man after my heart." In his lifetime, he demonstrated absolute faith, a love for God's word, gratitude and repentance when he sinned, and a lifetime of commitment to God.

A – Application
David wasn't perfect. Not even close. He lied. He committed adultery. He let pride number his army. And God still called him a man after His own heart.

Let that sink in. "After God's heart" was never about a clean record. It was about faith, a love for the Word, gratitude, and repentance — over and over again.

That's not talent. That's choice. And it's your choice today, too.

So ask yourself: Am I choosing faith over fear? Am I actually in the Word, or just near it? Am I grateful, or am I grumbling? And when I blow it — because I will — do I repent, or do I explain myself?

Pray it simple: God, make me a man or woman after Your heart today. Then go be committed to it. Not just in words. In your choices.

R – Response
Heavenly Father, You are God. We want our hearts to reflect Yours. Align us with Your character, Your heart for others. We choose You first today — and we're stepping toward whatever draws us closer to You.
