Bible Study - Joshua 13

S – Scripture
"I myself will drive them out from before the people of Israel. Only allot the land to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded you. 7 Now therefore divide this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes and half the tribe of Manasseh."
Joshua 13:6–7 ESV

O – Observation
"I will drive them out" God's promise that He will drive out the remaining opposition is intended as encouragement in view of the fact that Joshua is quite old and will not live much longer (Josh 13:1). Joshua must now apportion the land among the tribes (vv. 6–7) before he dies.

A – Application
Joshua defeated 31 kings. Thirty-one. And still God says, "I will drive out the rest." Joshua did his part. God did His. That's the pattern. He meets us at the ceiling of our gifts and talents — and takes us higher when we invite Him in.

Look at Joshua's arc. He started well, serving faithfully under Moses. He finished strong, leading Israel and staying faithful to the end of his life. Started well. Finished strong. That's the goal.

Heavenly Father, You fight for us. Thank You for fighting for us. You move in the spiritual and natural realms in ways we'll never fully see. Empower us to be faithful with our part — because we know You'll be faithful with Yours. Amen.
