Bible Study - Acts 6

S – Scripture
Acts 6:9–10 (ESV)
"Then some of those who belonged to the synagogue of the Freedmen (as it was called), and of the Cyrenians, and of the Alexandrians, and of those from Cilicia and Asia, rose up and disputed with Stephen. But they could not withstand the wisdom and the Spirit with which he was speaking."

O – Observation
Stephen didn't win this argument with clever rhetoric or a sharper debate tactic. His opponents couldn't stand against him because of two things working together: the wisdom of God and the Spirit of God. That's it. That's the whole toolkit. And it was enough.

A – Application
Here's the good news — you have that same toolkit. God hasn't called you to win every argument or out-talk every critic. He's called you to live "on mission" right where you are: sharing the gospel, loving your family well, showing up faithfully at work, and being present in your community. That's a full life lived for Him.

And when opposition comes — because it will — you don't need a better comeback. You need God's wisdom and His Spirit leading what you say and do. Stop striving to be the smartest voice in the room. Start asking to be the most Spirit-led one.

R – Response
Heavenly Father, You are Lord over all things. We surrender to You everything we are and everything we have today. Empower us with Your Holy Spirit and Your wisdom, that we would have the mind of Christ, speak Your words, and act in a way that glorifies You. Amen.
